Getting Help with the ANS Digital Services |
Wednesday 17 March 2010 |
You can search the ANS website from the following link.
Only the free access area is subject to this search.
In order to log in to the server you must have an ANS user name and password. This is a one-off process available to all current members. Complete the Server Registration Form to receive your user name and initial password. Then click the Secure Server button at the top of each page of the public website. You will be prompted to accept the security certificate which ensures that you are accessing the secure Server area.
Click the Enter Server button and you will be moved into the secure server area.
If you would like a more detailed version of these instructions click here.
[1] Moodle Education and CPD
To gain access to the moodle server you should use your user name and password. The moodle software is open source and adapted for ANS use.
The vast majority of the programming remains the same and therefore it is possible to alter the password of moodle. This would only affect the
the moodle server so it is suggested you leave your password the same as both the Webmail and the Secure servers.
If you find you have changed the password and have forgotten it then get in touch and I can reset it.
[2] Where can I find my ANS Membership Number?
Your ANS membership number can be found on your ANS Membership Card. A new card is issued annually when you pay your subscriptions.
If you receive a paper copy of The ANSwer you will find your ANS number on the bottom right hand corner of the address label.
If you are unable to find your ANS number then please contact the membership secretary Karene Taylor directly for assistance. Her contact details can be found both on the Council page and the About ANS page.
[3] How do I get to Webmail?
To read your ANS Webmail click on the Secure Server button (top right of each screen) then click on the Webmail button. You will need your user name (usually firstname.lastname) and your password.
