Modernising Scientific Careers
Thursday 23 February 2012

Why?

ANS are working hard on behalf of professional Physiologists throughout the United Kingdom in order to ensure government changes to the training and education program does not compromise the academic and skills training required for this highly specialised career.
For the interest of our members we have developed this dedicated page to highlight the huge amount of work ANS are investing for the benefit of neurophysiology in the UK.

March 2011 - Workforce Profiling Tool

Please be advised that the 'zipped' workforce profiling tools are available to download (they are too big to email).
These email addresses are now 'live'. Interested parties are requested to send a note requesting the particular tool to the appropriate email address. The message will then be validated that the requestor is authorised (i.e. has an 'nhs' address 'of sorts', and if so, send them a link to the tool's location and a password to decrypt the files.

August 2010: Official Response

In keeping with the representation ANS make at DoH and government level, it was felt necessary to prepare a statement relating to the proposed MSC (modernising scientific careers) plans. This should make important reading for all department managers.
It is likely to be of interest to anyone associated with training and developing Physiologists and those who are involved with succession planning at departmental or patch level.
